Description: Louis Icart (Worked in America and France, 1888-1950) oval colored drypoint etching entitled “Preferred One” showing a young woman in white gown holding a blue budgie while its mate waits in its red hanging cage. Pencil signed by Icart, lower right. Printed notation upper right: “Copyright 1925 by Les Graveurs Modernes 94 Rue de Rivoli = Paris.” Sight size is 15 by 20 1/2 inches and overall size with new frame and mat is 23 1/2 by 28 inches. Crisp image with strong color. Very clean. Minor chips to edges of the frame. Not examined out of the frame but the consignor was very particular about buying images that were not glued down.
