Description: Early Louis Icart (Worked in America and France, 1888-1950) colored drypoint etching showing a stylishly dressed woman holding a bouquet of orange roses. Pencil signed by Icart, lower right and bearing a stamp, lower left, which reads: “Cercle Libraire Estamps” along with the pencil notation “Ep d’ Artiste.” Printed upper left: “Edite’ Georges Petit, 8 Rue de Leze, Paris - Avril 1914.” Sight size is 22 5/8 by 12 1/2 inches and overall size with new frame and mat is 33 3/4 by 23 1/4 inches. Excellent condition with crisp image, good color and very clean paper. The consignor was very careful to only purchase images that were not glued down. Not examined out of the frame.
