Monumental Rookwood Porcelain vase with exotic floral decoration done by William Hentschel in 1924. Pictured are sunflowers, clematis and a few other varieties of flowers in a repeating pattern around the vase. The interior is lined in a mottled brown-black glaze with a slight iridescence. Marks on the bottom include the company logo, the date, shape number 306 and Hentschel’s monogram in black slip. Height 24 1/2 inches. Seamless restoration to a 6 inch by 4 inch break at the rim by Wiebold Studio. There is also a tiny ding at mid body.
