Description: W.C. Addison (American, Florida, active 1910’s to 1930’s) oil on artist board, a view of a Florida bayou with Spanish moss in tall trees. Signed lower left, W.C. Addison. Addison lived in Daytona in 1914 and 1915 and St. Petersburg in the late 1930’s. He is a precursor of the Highwaymen in that he created works for the tourist trade but at a much earlier time. Sight size is 13 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches and with frame, overall size is 16 1/2 by 13 1/2 inches. Excellent condition with minor nick or two to the frame.
