Lot No. 0503

Manufacturer: Patine

Artist: H. Patine

Description: Fine French Orientalist enamel done after Eugene Giraud’s “Slave Market” painting by H. Patine in incredible detail. The enamels used are brilliant in color and variety including some with sparkly crystalline effect. Signed “H. Patine Apres Giraud” in the lower left corner. Sight size is 6 1/4 by 11 inches. Not examined out of its heavy metal frame with built on easel. Condition is excellent with no surface scratches or crazing. Giraud lived from 1806 until 1881 so the enamel is most likely late 19th Century. Little is known of Patine but his work, both enamel and sculptural, speaks for itself.

Size: 6 1/4 x 11

Estimate: $7,000.00 - $9,000.00
