He arrayed trees around a lake, beneath a blue sky, but, as an added bonus, he painted some small farm buildings mid-ground and what appears to be two friends fishing in the foreground. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date, shape 951 F and a V for Vellum and incised with Mr. Rothenbusch’s monogram. There is fine, overall crazing and the vase is in excellent, original condition. The buildings and fishermen are not large but they are there, adding to the interest. Height is 6 1/2 inches.
