Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date and an S to indicate a “Special” and incised with Mr. Hurley’s monogram and the number 5331. Uncrazed and in wonderful original condition with innumerable colors. Mr. Hurley composed a scene depicting trees at the edge of a river, the opposite bank also tree-lined and wonderfully composed, the entire vessel benefitting from great use of color.
